Personal Care and Beauty: EC Implements New Cosmetic Labeling Rules

The European Commission (EC) has enacted the Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2025/1175 regarding the glossary of common ingredient names for use in the labeling of cosmetic products.

On July 10, 2025, the European Commission (EC) enacted the Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2025/1175 regarding the glossary of common ingredient names for use in the labeling of cosmetic products.

This Regulation updates the common ingredient names that may be used for the labeling information of ingredients used on cosmetic products to be marketed in the EU.

This Regulation is valid from July 30, 2025, until July 29, 2026.
