If you sell your toys on the global market, it’s essential to understand how the latest regulatory updates impact them. The new European Toy Safety Regulation focuses on chemical safety measures, which aim to better protect children from exposure to substances that may be harmful to their health.

The new Regulation also addresses emerging technologies, including connected toys and toys that use artificial intelligence. Manufacturers will be required to conduct specific safety assessments that consider potential mental health risks.

In terms of traceability, a mandatory digital passport will be established for each toy. This will replace the European declaration of conformity and include key safety information.

Our experts will share insights on the EU Toy Safety Regulation and other global regulatory updates, including

  • EN 71 standards that are under review, updated and published
  • Updates to the EN 62115
  • Updates to regulations on water beads and neck floats for the U.S. market
  • Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) and packaging requirements in the U.S.
  • Insights into the toy certification process in Brazil

Learn more about these topics and much more in our webinar, hosted by UL Solutions toy and chemical experts.
